/ Stop building APIs

Description

As a full-stack developer I build a lot of APIs that were used exclusively for the front-end. This has always felt like a lot of overhead to me and sparked a journey to find alternatives. Eventually, this led to an open-source distributed runtime for JavaScript. In this talk, I want to take the audience along with me on my journey exploring these alternatives. We will start discussing mediators and meta frameworks, gradually progressing towards a solution at the runtime level. From there, the journey continues by expanding the runtime capabilities to a just-in-time architecture style that allows for splitting the backend into multiple services without the need to modify a single line of code. The talk will conclude with a demo.
