/ Web app in Rust: From zero to deployment

Description

This workshop aims to show people how to use Rust to work in web applications. We would like to demystify this idea that Rust is only meant for low level programming and show how ergonomic it can be when used in areas where high-level languages are king. We will be covering the full stack by building a REST API (using Actix-web and PostgreSQL) and a web frontend (using Dioxus), and finally deploying to the cloud by leveraging Shuttle. We hope that developers that work in web development, be it in the front or in the back end, and are afraid of languages like Rust, can see by themselves all the benefits that Rust can bring to the table and how mature is the Rust ecosystem regarding web development.
